Our school is located on the river bank and the landscape of more than 100 raises is designed to be close to nature.

Rajini Wipat School

We are school who provides formal education. We aim to create a community where students can focus on learning, discover themselves and achieve their utmost potential. We welcome students between age of 12-18 years for boarding school as well as day-school.

Architectural design is based on its location on a plain field on the bank of Bangpakong River, with good air flow as well as fresh air from the river. The design takes into consideration environment, direction, wind, sun, perspectives and connection between buildings. The buildings are grouped along the river, in north-to-south direction so the buildings welcome fresh air from the river while overseeing its current. In the same time, the fence marks the school boundaries including study building, canteen for 300 seats, dormitories for students and teachers and other supporting facilities. The design is based on 3 main principles:

HERITAGE SPIRIT

Heritage spirit lies in the meaningful symbol of Queen’s School “White Mimusops elengi”. The symbolic flower brings our identity into the buildings and the project as well as creates direct linkage to students and visitors. White ventilation blocks in form of White Mimusops elengi at the façade create the sense of femininity and neatness. The pattern gives modern look while keeping privacy protecting the girls’ school from visual intrusion from outsiders. However, it is not too impervious and allows good ventilation flow in the building.

EDUCATION 3.0

Education 3.0 encourages self-directed learning. The design aims to create space for Collaborative Learning, Technology, Customize Learning Space, Active Learning to promote modern education where education is self-directed and prepare for future Education 4.0. The design emphasizes and promotes teamwork collaboration and sharing of knowledge among students. Indoor, the seating staircase and the big courtyard in the middle of the building are designed for group gatherings and encourage collaboration among users. Outdoor, the open amphitheater and vegetable garden next to the canteen are meant to support group activities. On every floor, there is teachers’ room allowing teachers to keep eyes on students at break times. There are also lockers for students to access easily between classes.

In addition to study area, there is the canteen building for students to dine and study cooking and bakery. There are spaces where we can grow vegetables, fresh from garden to table. The design promotes learning in every moment of daily life.

SUSTAINABLE LIFE

The buildings are laid north-to-south direction and the study rooms oversees the river and gardens in the project. The project contains many buildings with roofed walkways, suitable for long-term usage. The main building is comprised of 2 wings, fit for classrooms with internal courtyard. The courtyard is designed to have natural daylight with white, fiberglass, transparent rooftop bringing light to the building while preventing from the heat. The courtyard is suitable for seminars, group as well as other activities. Along the walkway, green shrubs contrasting with white color of the building give a fresh feeling and nice to see. The internal middle courtyard is open and the wind flows all the times.

Dormitory

Dormitory or Pikulkaew Building has 3 floors with 2 wings on each floor. The middle lobby is designed for indoor activities. Key-card access system can allow only female students and teachers to enter. Dormitory access is not permitted to outsiders and male teachers. For primary students, they will be in a room of 10 single beds. Secondary students will use 2-storey bed with working table so they can have more privacy. They will stay 4 persons in each room. There is teacher supervising each floor.

On each floor, there are 2 study halls: big and small to suit different activities. This is where students have activities, study, use internet and meet.

At the far back locates bath zone comprising of wash basins, lavatory, shower, dressing rooms and launder area. There are 20 set in each floor, surely enough for convenient use.

Environment

As one of our missions is to stimulate knowledge through various learning activities, as part of curriculum as well as additional activities. The design of buildings and areas of Rajini Foundation School is to design learning and activity spaces where students can have live experiences, can work as team and share knowledge among them.

In the building, seating staircase to chat, music rooms to practice preferred instrument, culinary art room to cook and bake and spaces for activities scatter around the area.

For outdoor learning, there are activities such as growing vegetables, key-hole garden, growing rice and mushroom. There is gym for sports e.g. badminton, volleyball and trails where students can walk, jog and bike around the school. These are active learning activities and, on week-ends, there are also activities that encourage self-discovery.
